Interim CEO & Chief Investment Officer
Kyle Wilson is a Métis executive and investment professional serving as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the Metis Settlements Development Corporation. In this role, he supports investment strategy, partnerships, governance, and economic development initiatives on behalf of the Métis Settlements of Alberta.
Kyle’s family’s Métis heritage, including ancestors who stood alongside Louis Riel during the Red River and Northwest Resistances, has shaped his commitment to Indigenous economic development, community ownership, and economic reconciliation.
Kyle brings experience across investment management, capital markets, corporate finance, governance, and risk management. Prior to joining MSDC, he helped oversee more than $1 billion across public market investment mandates, including global balanced, equity, fixed income, and long/short equity strategies. Kyle is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal University.
Prior to his professional career, Kyle was a member of the Mount Royal Cougars varsity men’s basketball team and served as team captain in his final two seasons. He currently serves as President of the Mount Royal Cougars Booster Club and sits on the Mount Royal University Finance Partnership Council.
In his spare time, Kyle enjoys basketball, golf, slo-pitch, and snowboarding. He grew up in Chestermere, Alberta, and currently resides in Calgary with his wife, Kelsey, and their dog, Auggie.

Strategic Advisor
Matt is the Chief Executive Officer of the Tse’khene Energy Transition Hub, the largest Indigenous-led, On Reserve, clean energy project in Canadian history. He is also the President of the MKNLY Group of Companies and provides strategic advice to InterGen and the Metis Settlements of Alberta. Additionally, Matt is an Adjunct Professor at the IE Business School Master In Finance Program. In 2023, he was given an Award for Teaching Excellence by IE for the course “Private Equity Infrastructure.” Matt is also a proud member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
Previously, he built and subsequently led Accenture’s Deal Execution Team in Canada and was the first Senior Associate hired into Berkshire Hathaway Energy when it opened its Canadian office. In 2016, Alberta Oil Magazine named him one of the “Top 35 Under 35 in Canada’s Energy Sector.” Matt received his Master of Finance from IE Business School and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary.
In his spare time, he loves playing hockey and golf, travelling, and studying history. Matt is grateful for his time with family and friends.

Strategic Advisor
Adam is the Chief Financial Officer of the MKNLY Group of Companies and the Chief Financial Officer of the Tse’khene Energy Transition Hub. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Duz Cho Group of Companies, the wholly owned economic development company of the McLeod Lake Indian Band (MLIB). Additionally, Adam sits on the Board of the Tse'khene Development Limited Partnership, the social economic development company of MLIB.
Before joining the MKNLY Group and TETH, Adam served in a number of senior finance and corporate development roles for companies in Western Canada and Texas, including building the Finance and Operations group for Citrus Capital, a boutique consulting firm in Calgary. Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Major in Economics and a Minor in Accounting from McGill University.
In his free time, Adam enjoys attempting to stop pucks for his beer league hockey team, golf and spending time with his wife and son.
