MARC STACHIW

Marc Stachiw started his career in the investment industry with several Calgary firms focusing on the oil & gas and mining industries. He made the switch to renewables in 2008, where he helped setup a hydroeletric company in BC, and then moved back to Calgary where he helped start Alberta Wind Energy Corp as President. Since selling the assets from Alberta Wind Energy in 2020, Mr. Stachiw now works as a consultant managing renewable energy projects in Alberta and the US.

Mr. Stachiw has served on public and private company boards providing overall governance and financial review. Notable boards include Alberta Wind Energy (as President & Director), Champion Bear Resources (mineral exploration company) and Kestrel Gold Inc (gold exploration company).

 

Mr. Stachiw holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Calgary, and is a Chartered Financial analyst charter holder.  He is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Calgary.
